Michelle King focuses her practice on complex estate planning, tax strategy, and business transactions. She advises individuals and business owners on cross border planning, charitable strategies, Qualified Opportunity Zone investments, entity formation, succession planning, and corporate reorganizations. Michelle earned her Master of Laws in Taxation with a Certificate in Estate Planning from Georgetown University Law Center and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she received the CALI Award in Corporate Taxation and the Albert C. Todd III Estate Planning Award. She is active in leadership roles within the South Carolina Bar Tax Law Section Council and Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Section Legislative Subcommittee. Her honors include Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in America, Greenville Business Magazine Legal Elite, and the South Carolina Women in Business Award. She also mentors law students through programs at the University of South Carolina. Outside the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband Tyler and their daughters Claire and Kate, walking the Swamp Rabbit Trail, hosting dinners, painting, and playing tennis.
