Marie Monroe is a Shareholder whose practice focuses on estate planning, estate administration, and nonprofit law. Known for her thoughtful counsel and attention to detail, she has built a reputation for providing strategic guidance to individuals, families, and charitable organizations. She earned her undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe and served as Research Editor of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal. She later obtained an Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University. Marie previously served as Chair of the South Carolina Bar Tax Law Section and remains active in numerous professional organizations. Her recognitions include AV Preeminent rating, The Best Lawyers in America with multiple Lawyer of the Year honors, Greenville Business Magazine Legal Elite, and South Carolina Women in Business. She is also active in the Greenville community and serves on the Board of Directors of the Greenville Humane Society Endowment. Marie and her husband, Jeff Dunlaevy, have two children. She enjoys gardening and reading in her free time.
